Master Mariner with good experience from offshore vessels, maintenance systems, HSE and other aspects towards safety on board and at sea. Has also worked on several other vessel types, as well as port inspector. Is holder of Deck Officer Class 1, DP Unlimited and all other certificates and courses required for work on all ships.

Has many years experience as radio officer in international and domestic shipping. Also, from crew management, ship operations, ship agency and surveys.

Experience from Norwegian domestic shipping, as well as working several years as a draft surveyor. Performs various sampling and cargo holds inspections, as well as other agent assignments. Is also responsible for North Maritime's HSE.

Educated as Chief Engineer with additional technical education. Has more than 40 years experience in international and domestic shipping (cruise, merchant, offshore and fishing vessels), also as superintendent and surveyor. Ragnar has in-depth knowledge of the petroleum and cruise industry, operations and maintenance management, procurement, engineering and strategic planning.

Has extensive experience in many aspects in the marine industry. Served as Surveyor to Lloyds Register and Scandinavian Underwriters Agency. Experience in ship plans appraisal, ship development and statutory work, supervising construction of new building and repairs. Established Schjerven Teknisk Bureau AS in 1976 undertaking damage surveys to hull and machinery on be half of underwriters and other parties.

Offers vesselcontrol with length of 8-15 m and inspecting for insurance companies. Bachelor in Nautical Engineer, UiT in Tromsø. One year as a cadet onboard a trawler and have deck officer sertificat class D3.

Former RNoAF Captain, served 30 years in the armed forces, having Security as main focus/position. Draftsman, as extra education. We carry out PFSAs, PFSPs and revisions for portfacilities.

Quality assurance and quality control is a common thread in Ben Ståle's education and experience. His education is an engineer in flight systems and flight navigation from the University of Stavanger, with further education in geomatics, economics, management, marketing and HSE. He has worked for 10 years with safety-critical systems in aviation and defence, and approximately 20 years in the maritime industry with positioning, geodesy, facility management, project management, operations and HSE. In the last year, Ben Ståle has been the project manager to get North Maritime AS certified in quality assurance / quality control according to the ISO 9001 standard.
